Editing digital video is becoming more and more commonplace, but it does not mean that everyone does it correctly. In this hands-on workshop, we will cover editing software, terminology, conventions and distribution options pertaining to digital video. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to import raw footage from a camcorder; organize video files; identify common file types; apply transitions, titles, and effects; and export, compress and distribute the final product digitally using iMovie. Our "Digital Video: Shoot Like a Pro" workshop is a recommended but not required prerequisite. Open to UCSF faculty, staff, and students only. |
