MAKERSPACE | Think + Play + Solve In-Person
Meet us at the Parnassus Library in the CL230 computer lab anytime during drop-in hours.
Join the Parnassus Library for drop-in tinkering with Arduino and Raspberry Pi kits. We’re playing with electronics for our new MakerSpace event at the Parnassus Library location and you’re invited!
What is Arduino? Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit board and a piece of easy-to-use, open-source software. Use Arduino to develop interactive objects, incorporating switches and sensors to control a variety of lights, motors, and other physical outputs. The Arduino hardware and software was made for the newbie to the seasoned, and anyone interested in DIY electronics and robotics. Arduino kits will be provided.
What is Raspberry Pi? The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python. It’s capable of doing everything you’d expect a desktop computer to do, from browsing the internet and playing high-definition video, to making spreadsheets, word-processing, and playing games.
See you there! Meet us at the Parnassus Library computer lab (CL230) anytime during drop-in hours.
