CLASS PubMed: Improve Your Skills (Mission Bay) In-Person
Are you ready to take your PubMed skills to the next level? In this intermediate-level class, you’ll learn to construct complex searches by performing hands-on exercises. Find the information you seek using PubMed tools such as MyNCBI, Clinical Queries, Single Citation Manager, and MeSH.
You will learn how to:
- Locate high-quality clinical literature using PubMed’s Clinical Queries feature.
- Quickly locate specific journal articles using Single Citation Matcher .
- Use MyNCBI to save searches, article collections, and create a bibliography.
- Develop complex search strategies using combinations of keywords and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)
Requirements
You should have some experience searching PubMed and basic knowledge of the journal literature. Please set up your MyNCBI account prior to taking this course. We will send out brief video tutorial to those enrolled in class to assist with account setup.
