Opening Reception: Patient No More: People With Disabilities Securing Civil Rights In-Person

Join us for the opening reception of the Patient No More: People with Disabilities Securing Civil Rights exhibition that explores a pivotal moment in disability rights history known as the “504 Sit-In.” All UCSF students, staff, and faculty are invited to discover an overlooked moment in U.S. history when people with disabilities mobilized to push for the signing of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 into law.

The exhibition will be on view Dec 8, 2025 through Feb 1, 2026 in the Parnassus Kalmanovitz Library.
