Pi Day at the Library In-Person
The UCSF Library Makers Lab and Data Science Initiative is celebrating Pi Day 2018 and you're invited! #ucsflibrarypiday
Did you know that you can use an inexpensive Raspberry Pi or Arduino to measure and record heart rate, weight, pressure, and more? On Pi Day (3/14) we invite you to join us in the Makers Lab for hands-on demos of biometric sensors and programmable electronics. Come learn about these fun electronics, try them out, and help us brainstorm innovative health science applications. Beginners encouraged!
Drop in from 4-5pm for demos with biometric sensors and Raspberry Pi devices and an Arduino. From 5-6pm, we will conclude with a human pi recital contest and a slice (or two) of pizza pie. The pi contest grand prize will be a Raspberry Pi Zero kit!
When you register, the Library reserves class space for you. Since many of our classes have a waitlist, please cancel your registration if you can no longer attend.
