Librarian, Sophia Conover, will help you identify and utilize library resources specific to Health Policy and Law. Search concepts that you will learn in this class can be applied to your studies now and beyond when you move on to other institutions or roles. By the end of this class you will learn how to:
- Access UCSF Library resources remotely
- Build a search strategy (keyword searching, subject headings, and Boolean operators)
- Use large health sciences databases such as PubMed and EMBASE, as well as HPL specific databases like, LexisUni and the PAIS Index: Political and Social Sciences, International Relations, and Health Policy
- Organize your information with citation managers
This class is online; Sophia will send out a Zoom link the day before class. Feel free to bring any questions you might have or email Sophia before class. If you cannot attend, then feel free to book Online Office Hours here.
