Introduction to 3D Scanning

Introduction to 3D Scanning In-Person

Makers Lab Logo

Are you curious about applications for 3D scanning at UCSF?

Join Library staff for a 60-minute pop-up covering the basics of 3D scanning in the Makers Lab. Stick around after the pop-up and put your learning to practice while the Makers Lab is open.

Never used a 3D scanner before? This is the perfect pop-up for you. We encourage you to bring in something of your own to scan; maybe a broken item that you want to fix, or something you need more of.

After attending the 60-minute pop-up you will be able to:

  1. Select the best 3D scanner for a given project
  2. 3D scan an object using the Einscan
  3. Prepare 3D scans to export for 3D printing

Have questions about the Makers Lab? Visit the Makers Lab website or email us at makerslab@ucsf.edu with questions. This pop-up is open to the UCSF community.

When you register for a pop-up, the Library reserves space for you. Since many of our pop-ups have a waitlist, please cancel your registration if you can no longer attend.
