Ideation Part 2 (via Zoom)

Ideation Part 2 (via Zoom) Online

Makers Lab Logo

Recommended prerequisite: Ideation Part 1

Following Ideation Part 1, this pop-up dives deeper into refining your visual communication skills. We will briefly recap Ideation 1, and move forward with learning how to use markers for shading. We will explore how to make new shapes and try different techniques to make your drawings more realistic.

Since the Makers Lab is closed, we are unable to provide supplies for the pop-up.

MATERIALS NEEDED: a straight-edge, a pencil or ball-point pen, some paper (letter size, any kind), one small or fine tip black marker, and ideally 2 shades of grey markers (or shades of any single color, e.g. dark blue and light blue).

If you prefer investing in a good set of grey-scale markers with 1 black marker you can check out the recommended set of Prismacolor Cool Grey 12-Count. More affordable marker options (not tested by Makers Lab staff) - Shuttle Art Grey Tones. Grey marker sets can also be found at Dick Blick or Utrecht throughout the Bay Area and online.

To facilitate the learning experience, you are encouraged to share your work during the session.
