Description: California’s Department of Health Care Access and Information (formerly the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) has collected data on discharges from California hospitals for 30 years, including short-term acute, long-term acute, and specialty hospitals. They also collect data on emergency department visits and ambulatory surgeries. And, these data can be linked with detailed data on hospital services, staffing, and finances.
