Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Course Design, Teaching & Learning: A Rubric for Change/s Online

Presenters:
Bo Choi, M.A.Ed., Instructional Designer, UC Irvine

Kaori Keller, M.A., Instructional Designer, UCSF

During 2020–21, a subgroup of educational designers from the UC Instructional Design and Faculty Support (IDFS) Community of Practice collaborated to produce a rubric that addresses diversity, equity, and inclusion in (online) course design. The rubric is intended to support a reflective, collaborative, and iterative course design process.  In this session, we will outline our cross-campus collaboration process and explore the eight dimensions that make up the DEI Rubric.
