SUMMARY:Introduction to Sewing
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nIn this pop-up we will introduce you to one of the most 
 widely used stitches in sewing\, the running stitch. This simple straight 
 stitch can be used to create anything from a pillow to a mask. We’ll 
 introduce you to some basic sewing tools\, show you how to sew a running 
 stitch by hand\, and with a machine and suggest projects ideas.\n\nSince 
 the Makers Lab is closed\, we are unable to provide supplies for the 
 pop-up. Please have needle\, thread\, scissors\, tape measure or ruler\, 
 and  ½-1  yard of fabric depending on what project you choose. Small throw 
 pillows and masks can be made with under a yard of fabric. Tight weave 
 cotton is best for masks. Cotton or cotton blends or polyester blends will 
 work well for pillows. Here are a few local businesses you can support if 
 you need supplies: Mendel’s\, Piedmont Fabrics\, 
 Cliff’s.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister below to receive the Zoom link and

 Follow-Up on Tuesday\, April 6 at noon to  share sewing projects\,
